Archaeological Museum in Oranjestad, Aruba

Posted 1 year ago by avatar astroboy in response to avatar connie's question: What kind of items we might see at the Archaeological Museum in Oranjestad, Aruba? (give a different answer) .

The Archaeological Museum of Oranjestad is small but recommended as the best museum of the island. We came here to see items laid out in 3 parts Preceramic, Ceramic (from AD 500) and Historic (from AD 1500-1800 when Amerindians used European tools). The guid explained us that the objects come mostly from 2 main excavated sites like Canashitu and Malmok. The museum is located at J E Irausquin 2-A, tel 5828979, open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
